About the author, Steve Zarelli
My name is Steve Zarelli and I have been collecting "stuff" for over 40 years. It all started as a little kid in the 70s with comics books and went from there. I have collected trading cards, autographs, figurines, and coins at one point or another. I am sure I am missing something, but collecting "stuff" has been my hobby for a long time.An area I have specialized in for many years is collecting space and aviation autographs. I have written numerous published articles and been a contributor to two books focusing on astronaut autographs.
Over the years, I have been on the forefront of identifying deceptive forgeries, often working collaboratively with other experienced collectors. In that time, I have built a deep and comprehensive exemplar file of known authentic examples as well as documented forgery styles.
In my years in the space and aviation autograph hobby, I built a reputation of being a conservative analyst, passionate and ethical. So in 2011, I started Zarelli Space Authentication to professionally authenticate astronaut autographs.
